With 1950's Polynesian flair, Kowloon has enjoyed amazing longevity (for the restaurant biz) and is a route one standby. Enjoy the atmosphere, there are not many like this around nowadays. The lengthy menu includes everything from standard Szechuan and Cantonese fare to Thai dishes and sushi. Low lights, fountains, a dance floor made to look like a old wooden ship... Craving something flaming, local celeb sightings, or a place to have a luau banquet? Worth a trip up from the city.
Fills up early on weekends!

There's no question there's something special about Kowloon. Whenever I go I seem to have a fuzzy memory and think it's the food. It's not. The food is fine, if unexceptional. But the sheer cheesiness of it all is so over the top that it ceases to be cheesy, it's just authentically Boston.

This place is so ridiculous, packed with chowdaheads on the town. The drinks are good and the food is big and greasy. The menu is absolutely huge, with nothing healthy in sight. Great for a binge, for the hungry masses, and for pregnant women.
